Soap nuts are the dried shells harvested from soapberry tree in India. They are called soap nuts because they are, quite literally used, to clean! They contain saponin which is often used as a substitute for washing soap. Soap nuts are also a fantastic natural ingredient used in shampoos and detergents. They’re a living, breathing cleaning product. Does it get any more eco-friendly than that?!
