Despite their resemblance to barley, orzo are actually tiny pieces of pasta made from semolina flour. Orzo is best used in soups and broths, rather than being used like regular pasta. To cook, boil in hot water for 8 – 10 minutes. You can drain and toss into salads or add just before you serve up soup to avoid overcooking.
